What is nice and nifty, is that the VIDBOX devise allows you to click the “Record” button on the VIDBOX window that is on your desktop monitor (Yes, a nice VIDBOX window fills the desktop screen, and it too is basic w/o need of tech skills). The hardest part is that it needs to play the entire tape, as it plays it records. You don’t need any tech skills, just follow the initial setup card (I think it was 4 steps), then it is as easy as plugging in the cords to the VIDBOX devise and to the other machines (VCR + Desktop PC, or Camcorder + Desktop PC), it is that easy. I had bought this VIDBOX devise from Best Buy and it did the job fine. I had around 24 hours to get it done (getting everything together and finding a pawn shop with a VCR was tough). ![]() ![]() I needed to get an old VHS tape and some Mini DV camcorder tapes converted to digital format so I could make a nice video of old memories for my Grandpa’s funeral.
